The phases of APEX's typical process are:
Pre-Design – (conception)
Identifying clear project and program goals, collecting information from the client, site and city, establishing a framework for design parameters.
Schematic Design (SD)
Incorporating pre-design objectives, site parameters, related code, jurisdictional requirements and relationships between spaces and site.
Design Development (DD)
Schematic designs are advanced, providing overall look, feel and texture, confirming basic assembly, developing a clear understanding of project scope and preliminary budget.
Agency Review Documents
Plans and document preparation for regulatory groups and review boards. Submitting, coordinating and acquiring building and other related approvals for the construction of the project.
Construction Documents (CD)
Preparation of final plans, specifications and other documents as required for use in bidding and construction.
Bidding / Negotiation
Finalizing the target construction budget and schedule, obtaining prime contractor, sub-contractor and supplier quotes, and monitoring the mobilization as required to implement the work.
Construction / Contract Administration (CA)
Getting the work done - with a focus on maintaining schedule, ensuring a quality product and coming in on budget.
